Preface

Becoming a Yoga teacher is like gaining a ticket to freedom for life!

Not only do you start living and working in a more healthier way, your job also looks after YOU! So many jobs are sedentary and slowly killing us these days! It's time for change. It's never too late (or too early) to switch or supplement your career paths and become a professional in the wellbeing industry.

Barefoot Yoga school is run by two nomads, science geeks and spiritual beings - Jess & Adam. They love being able to translate their experiences from India, forging a way to bridge the gap between Eastern and Western practices, beliefs and philosophies. One thing you will find with each course is how RELATABLE the content is to our lives.

We don't just tell you the what, where when, we tell you the WHY. We have done extensive and on-going research into the energy fields, anatomy and finding the proof in the pudding for you, all to help you become a Yoga teacher who is spiritual, knowledgeable, anatomically sound, safe, scientific, cultural and philosophical (as well as business savvy).

Who is this for ?

Are you destined to be a Teacher?

This course is for those who wish to expand in self development and teach Yoga, as a school which priorities quality over quantity, we limit our numbers to 8 students and we are able to offer you 1:1 mentorship throughout the course. The Barefoot ethos is to discover your true nature, to do this we must open up, surrender our stories and our history and begin a deep healing process. One thing many people don't realise when they sign up to this immersion is the level of growth that will be undertaken, you will be challenged throughout the course, this is where the REAL practice of Yoga comes in.

If you are someone looking for a course which prioritises peak postures over tradition, whilst not focussing on the anatomical knowledge needed for safe practice and not providing the WHY & HOW behind absolutely everything, then we recommend going to a different school. Our Lead trainers question everything and have endeavoured to dig up the best science and spiritual meanings behind their Yoga practices to help bridge the gap between Eastern and Western beliefs. Our Lead trainers, Adam and Jess have completed all of their own Yoga trainings in India and are passionate about translating these teachings to more students throughout the western society in the most authentic, yet scientific way. They are also qualified in Nutrition, psychophysiology, Meditation, Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture, bio mechanics of movement, fitness, counselling, rehabilitation therapy and applied kinesiology

This course revolves around creating a family - therefore we appreciate and practice, mindful eating, family time, movie nights, story time, non-awkward silences and deep and meaningful connections and conversations.

Holistic health and nutrition is what we are equally as passionate about, therefore we will be delivering nothing but the BEST seasonal organic foods, there won't be any processed food available, (including vegan alternative meats and butters etc). Our food choices are based off a holistic approach, designed to encompass the seasons, circadian rhythms and local produce. This plan is upheld by Jess, who is also a Nutritional therapist and lovingly prepared by our wonderful Organic gourmet chef from GG's Organic Wellness, Angela. We don't believe in extreme dieting - therefore, we only cater for allergies & intolerances only. Whole food Vegan and vegetarian organic food with occasional fish on Sushi nights. Get ready to be totally inspired and amazed by how delicious the food is!

We are a small family owned school and can't wait to welcome you into our home!

" loved the course content and the flexibility of the classes. Really enjoyed learning because the teachers were methodical, patient, encouraging, approachable and and passionate. I appreciated all the little extra touches and it really did feel like a family by the end of the course. Well worth immersing yourself in the course for the 3 weeks and I gained so much more than a certificate from this experience. I made new friends and am feeling extremely inspired to continue on this journey of growth! Thanks to Adam & Jess! "
