This page discloses our full booking terms and conditions which we recommend reading in full before booking

Terms & Conditions

Cancellation & Refund policies

1a) If you are unable to attend your program for any reason, including but not exclusively COVID-19 restrictions; You must submit a claim to your travel insurance provider.

1b) Barefoot Yoga School does not offer refunds due to significant investment to procure costs in advance to secure these events at the lowest prices and also have a non-refundable arrangement with suppliers & agents.

2. Barefoot Yoga School does not provide travel insurance or an option for refunds of deposits or total amounts owing under any circumstances. 

3. If the training has been changed or cancelled by Barefoot Yoga School, you will have the option for a transfer or credit. 

4. When transferring your credit, you may only use the credit for yourself and not for others. You may only transfer one deposit per booking. You may not transfer multiple deposits to one booking. 

5. Transfers are only accepted in extenuating circumstances affecting your ability to take part in your retreat or training. 

*We highly recommend taking out travel insurance to cover you during uncertain times 


If a guest requests to cancel, Barefoot Yoga School will reopen the dates for sale across all available booking channels and will endeavour to rebook the dates. While every attempt will be made to secure a full-paying booking, a discount may be applied to the rate in order to secure a booking. This discount will be based on industry and business knowledge, and will not be preapproved or reviewed with the guest as it will be subject to further change at any time. Cancellations may result in a loss of the total booking amount.  

Date Changes
Date changes made by guest(s) will be subject to the discretion of Barefoot Yoga School. In the case where it is not possible to change the date guest(s) will be forced to forfeit the deposit if a change or cancellation is made before 30 days and forfeit the deposit + paid amount if a change or cancellation is made within 30 days. 


All bookings are made in good faith of ongoing short-term letting by owners however may be subject to change. Barefoot Yoga School cannot accept responsibility for actions taken by the owner(s) of the property which are outside their control. Reasonable actions will be made by Barefoot Yoga School to offer alternative accommodation should this occur. If there is no alternative accommodation available a full refund of the amount already paid will be made. Barefoot Yoga School will not be liable to refund any fees guests may have paid to any third party in connection with their stay, including but not limited to fees for travel, insurance or activities. 

Covid 

Our cancellation policy is continually being reviewed to ensure that we are taking into account developments associated with Coronavirus (COVID-19).

Before you book, and before you travel, you must check the latest government travel requirements which may include, but are not limited to, mandatory health declarations, completion and display of travel exemptions or entry permits, up-to-date vaccinations and vaccination certificates, use of check-in apps and face masks, or requirement to self-isolate and/or quarantine (possibly at your own expense). 

In the event that any guest or visitor needs to quarantine or self-isolate at the property, any additional costs incurred by the Owners will be passed onto the guest(s). This includes, but is not limited to; deep cleaning costs, additional tariffs for extra nights stayed, and costs related to relocating and/or compensating the following booking(s) who are unable to check in on their booked date due to unavailability of the property or delays caused by deep cleaning. In the event that the quarantine or self-isolation is for a period beyond the initial check-out date, the standard nightly tariffs for that property and any additional costs incurred by the Owners will also be charged to the guest(s).

Medical Information Privacy and Policy

1. Barefoot Yoga School will not share any private medical information provided to them or discussed throughout private consultations.

2. Barefoot Yoga School has a duty of care throughout their courses which includes a crisis intervention model. Students must understand that if any person or person/s is believed to be in harms way, the Lead trainers of Barefoot Yoga School and any staff member employed by Barefoot Yoga School have an obligation to report this to an authority. 

Payment Policy

1. All bookings request a deposit to secure a students place on any program (online or in person)

2 a. The remaining amount for each individual booking will be due 30 days prior to the event commencing. 

2 b. Our payment plans, unless discussed otherwise that 50% of total payment is due 60 days prior and the remaining 50% is due 30 days prior.

3. Payment plans organised with Barefoot Yoga School must be adhered to by student.

4. Any payment plans which exceed the start date of a program will require being connected to AfterPay which is available on the checkout.

Property Policy 

1. Licence not a Tenancy
The booking with Book Yoga School is not a residential tenancy agreement under residential tenancy legislations. Failure to comply with any of the guest’s fundamental obligations and the terms and conditions of the property may result in immediate termination and eviction. The guest is granted a licence to occupy the accommodation for the agreed booking period. Refunds will not be paid on terminated occupancies. 

Number of Persons, Noise, Parties and Functions

This property is for guests only. No outside guests are permitted on the premises without prearrangement in writing from the Owners. The number of occupants must not exceed the number of persons shown on your confirmation. Any increase in numbers must be agreed in advance and may incur additional fees. If the number of people at the property is found to exceed the guests numbers registered, the booking can be cancelled and guests evicted. Excessive noise, parties and functions are not permitted as they can cause disruption to neighbours as well as nearby residents and other holidaymakers. We need you to understand that the property has a strict no-party policy with low noise constraints in place as the house is in a residential area with neighbours who (were born and) live and work in Byron. It’s a special place and respecting our neighbours is important to us. There is to be no outside noise after 830pm, with no excessive noise at any other time.

If an unauthorised function is held at the property, the bond processed for the booking will be retained and additional fees to cover the standard function fee may apply.

Noise Complaints

If a complaint of excessive noise or anti-social behaviour is received, security or police will be dispatched to investigate and may result in a $200 call-out charge. A report will be received by the Owners with information as to whether a fee has been charged. This fee will be taken from the guest’s security deposit and is non-negotiable.

 

At the time the report is received, the Owners will also determine the severity of the incident and the impact on the property, the community, and the surrounding guests and residents. If the incident and impact is deemed to be severe, all guests at the premises may be evicted from the premises by security without a refund of paid fee or bond. This determination is at the sole discretion of management and is non-negotiable.

Excess Cleaning, Damages and Charges
Barefoot Yoga School requests guests to leave the property as it was found to avoid extra cleaning charges. This includes washing dishes, placement of rubbish in the bins provided and cleaning the BBQ. The cleaners will strip the beds and will clean the floors so this is not required by the guests, however cleaning charges may apply if the walls, floors, windows and/or linen are excessively dirty. 

Damages
In the event of breakages, damages and lost items, Barefoot Yoga School requests that guests contact the office to report the incident as soon as possible. Damages may be deducted from bond (or credit card supplied if the charges are higher than the bond processed). 

Visitors
Only those guests who have booked and paid for the property are permitted on the premises at any time, no visitors are permitted. The number of occupants must not exceed the number of persons shown on the booking confirmation. If the number of people at the property are found to exceed guests numbers registered the booking can be cancelled and guests evicted 

 

Movement of Items Within/Between Properties

The Property Owners have a strict policy on moving items or furniture from house to house, or outside of the property. Movements may cause unnecessary damage to items and/or to the property and can cause excess cleaning time due to increased housekeeping inventory checks and replacement of items. Any damages/excess cleaning caused by the movement of items or furniture will be deducted from the bond. Internet The property provides wireless internet for guests for the purpose of the email, perusing social media, and web browsing. If guests require excess usage please contact the Property Owners to discuss the purchase of a data pack. Please note that WiFi speed and connectivity in regional areas (such as Byron Bay) is not comparable to that experienced in major capital cities, especially during peak periods where the network experiences very heavy demand. If guests need to work during their stay where reliable and high-speed internet is essential, we recommend they bring a personal dongle after checking coverage with their provider prior to travel.

 

Wildlife

Our locations are surrounded by landscaping, tropical gardens and a nearby bushland. As such, wildlife can be found around these premises, especially after severe weather events such as storms, flooding, or intense heat. While every attempt is made to control and manage the wildlife including a pre-arrival inspection at the property to check for activity, from time to time, some animals including snakes and/or insects may enter the property. Please contact us as soon as possible in this instance in order to manage any situations at the property with the guests where they are in danger.

 

Unplanned Outages

During periods of extreme weather events, power supply to properties can be interrupted due to unplanned outages. These power outages will also affect Wi-Fi as the routers will be disabled, and can also affect water pumps and resulting water supply on rural properties which utilise tank water. These outages are out of the control of the Property Owners and no responsibility will be taken. We will however assist all guests during these periods to keep them up to date with the situation and instructions from the authorities, and to ensure their safety.

 

Neighbourhood Construction

From time to time, there may be building/construction on neighbouring houses or buildings within the nearby vicinity of the property. The Owners take no responsibility for any issues relating to noise on neighbouring properties.

 

No Smoking

For the comfort of all our guests, all properties are non-smoking. Any damages or excess cleaning caused by smoking on or inside the property will be deducted from the

 

Parking

The House has 5 off-street car parks available for use at the property. On-street parking is not provided or guaranteed for guests or visitors. The Property Owners cannot be held responsible or liable for any fines or penalties incurred by guests or visitors from parking on the street (where local parking restrictions/metered parking applies).

 

Parking campervans, caravans and trailers (with or without boats) on a residential street on or adjacent to one of our properties is not permitted under any circumstances. Friends of guests are not permitted to park caravans on or adjacent to any of our properties and use the property facilities. Guests will be required to remove any campervans, caravans or trailers. If a guest fails to comply, the item may be towed at the guest’s expense and charges will be deducted from bond. The violation of terms and conditions may also result in guest eviction and loss of rent and bond. Personal and Lost Property No responsibility will be taken by the Property Owners for guest’s personal property. If items are left at the property, please notify us in order to contact the cleaners to determine whether the items were located. If located, return costs and tracking of items are the responsibility of the guest.bond.
 

ANIMALS & PETS

Pets are only permitted if pre-arranged with, and approved by the Property Owners in writing and is provided on a case-by-case basis. Please note that pet-stay charges may apply. When a booking is confirmed, all terms and conditions are considered agreed to by all parties staying at the property on the booking confirmation, including pet friendly terms and conditions. This includes excess cleaning charges or necessary deductions from your bond for damages caused due to any pet(s) agreed to on the booking.


DISCLAIMER
Barefoot Yoga School enters into this agreement on behalf of the owner of the property and is not liable to you in relation to the property or any services. 

Barefoot Yoga School is a holistic health educator and is not a real estate broker, agent or rental company. Barefoot Yoga School nor the owner of the property can be held responsible for failure or interruption to power or services to the property for reasons beyond our control. 

Barefoot Yoga School reserves the right to relocate a booking to an alternative property of similar standard and location at any time. In this instance, guests will be offered either a transfer to the new booking or a credit. We would only make such decisions in unusual circumstances such as; property being sold, property being damaged by natural disaster, or a contract being breached.

Barefoot Yoga School advises that the property furnishings may be slightly different to those shown in the property photos. However, if they differ, the furnishings will be of the same standard as that shown in the pictures, or higher. 

Guests’ actions, conduct and safety are the responsibility of the guests. The managers and owner(s) of this property do not condone: unsafe, irresponsible or illegal actions/behaviour etc. on or off the premises, during a stay or at any other time. 

A condition of entering and/or staying at this property means that all guests understand and agree to indemnify the agent and owner(s) against any responsibility or action(s) (legal or other), due to any action(s), incident(s), loss or injury(s) while within or outside of the premises (including, but not limited to, the grounds, facilities, structures, etc.) during a stay or at any other time. 

To the extent permitted to by law Barefoot Yoga School will not be liable for losses arising as a result of this agreement whether such losses arise as a result of Barefoot Yoga School negligence or otherwise.
